You'll love this East Nashville Work&Play Retreat! •Access to Freeways: I-65, I-24, Highway 31, SR 155 •Queen-size bed, blackout curtains •Second bedroom boasts dedicated office space •Ask about our Healthcare Worker Discount! •Convenient to Music City Attractions – 8 miles from Broadway, 4.5 miles from Opryland and Opry Mills Mall, blocks from Gallatin Pike with access to popular East Nashville dining •Within 10 miles of multiple hospitals and medical centers •Cozy, Safe, Private Cul De Sac After a busy day of work or play, retreat to this cute and private peach cul de sac home less than 1 mile from your freeway exit. The home has been well taken care of and loved by its owner, who, while “at home” in Nashville, is currently pursuing a lifelong dream of hers in New York City. She wanted to maintain the home’s unique curated character and charm so that she can return home in a few years’ time. Now, the home is yours to enjoy! The home’s location is safe and private, as the cul de sac does not attract foot traffic or neighborhood traffic. Park up to two cars in the private driveway, which has solar-powered lights for nighttime visibility. Take two steps up to the front porch, with its bamboo shade, outdoor chair, and hanging porch swing. Enter using your unique keypad code. Take off your shoes and coat and stay awhile! The shoe tree and pegs to hang your items will keep everything organized! To your right is the owner’s closet with supplies for the home, which is not accessible to guests. As you pass the entryway, the living room is to the left, and a hall is to your right. You note the new, beautiful light hardwood floors which flow throughout the home, except for the new, fresh, white tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. The living room provides a couch for reclining in front of a large front window. High-speed internet and a Roku television allow you to log in to your favorite streaming services. (Please note that the owner does not provide membership to subscription services, but you can log in under your own accounts.) The hearth and mantle add ambiance but please note that the electrical fireplace is nonfunctional. The living room flows into the dining area, with a door to the left leading to the back porch. Four steps down will lead to the backyard. There are 3 outdoor chairs and a patio, with a charcoal grill available for your use. We highly recommend visiting Edley’s Bar-B-Que for their wings, and then picking up your favorite sauce and/or rubs at their shop to use on the grill. The backyard is very private due to partial fencing and a wooded area facing the Briley Parkway freeway barrier. This barrier blocks your view of the interstate and is effective in blocking most road noise. Any residual road noise fades to an unnoticed background level for most people; however, a sound machine is provided in the bedroom closet for your use while at the property, if desired. Feel free to use it anywhere in the home. In addition, blackout curtains throughout the home aid in blocking sound. Back inside the home, the dining room table seats four and sits directly in front of a window to the backyard. The homeowner was an avid birdwatcher, and a local bird guide is provided for your use in the drawer of the dining room sideboard. You will also find additional baking dishes in the sideboard cabinets. As you turn right from the sideboard, you will enter the galley kitchen, with its white tile and gray walls. Because the homeowner was an enthusiastic home baker and cook, it is stocked with all the spices, oils, baking sheets, Kitchenaid mixer, pots, pans, dishes, bowls, and measuring cups and spoons you would need to cook meals at home. Guests are provided the use of a microwave, conventional oven, stove, and a new refrigerator/freezer. Importantly, your morning coffee and tea station is available with a starter set of items for your consumption. There is an electric kettle in the cabinet for tea, with a selection of teas. Because many coffee drinkers we know have strong coffee preferences, our coffee maker is K-cup compatible but also allows for the use of your own fresh coffee grounds (easily switched out with the use of a separate insert). The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, which works best when not overloaded and when the dishes are pre-rinsed. Exiting the galley kitchen to the hallway, you find the entryway and living room to your right and the rooms and bathroom to your left. As you turn left, the first door is currently being used as owner storage (for items that understandably do not fit into New York apartments) and is inaccessible to guests. The next door to the left is the laundry area and bathroom. As you move toward the bathroom, there is a washing machine to your left and a dryer to your right. Cleaning supplies are located above the dryer. We can also provide contact information for our cleaners if you prefer to use them to tidy up the home during your stay. The full bathroom offers a combination shower and tub. Exiting the bathroom, on the wall, you will find the thermostat, which you may manually adjust. Utility bills (electric, water, sewer, internet) are included up to $400. (Average utility bills are $350.) Continuing down the hall, the dedicated office is the next door to your right. A new work desk and chair are provided for your workspace. The office closet also contains an iron, a large ironing board, and additional larger cleaning supplies (broom, dustpan, mop, Swiffer, vacuum cleaner, etc). At the end of the hall, you will find the bedroom, with a comfortable queen-size bed, 400 thread-count sateen 100% cotton sheets, a chest of drawers, a nightstand, and a large closet with hangers, shoe storage, and shelves. The curtains in the bedroom are blackout curtains to allow for optimal sleeping conditions. We know that you will enjoy this space as your extended-stay home base while you are visiting Nashville, TN! You will receive a link to a digital guidebook, which will provide you with commonly asked questions about your home, as well as recommendations for local transportation, restaurants, bars, cafes, museums, and attractions. If a need arises during your stay, please let me know so that it can be remedied. Katie, your cohost, is just down the road in East Nashville and would consider it a joy to make you feel welcome and at home in Music City. All of the home is accessible, except for the owner's closet (to the right upon entering the home), the 3rd bedroom (used for storage), and the shed (used for storage).
