1. Security Deposit
A $500 security deposit is required.
When you first book your stay the security deposit pre-authorization will appear as the last step in the booking process. Its called a "pre-authorization" because the deposit is not captured from your credit card account at that time.
One day prior to your arrival your pre-authorization will be used to attempt to place a "hold" on $500 of your credit card. If the attempt fails you will be contacted and asked to authorize the security deposit. This does not charge your card, but places a hold on your available credit. So, if you had $10,000 of credit on the card before the hold then you will have $9,500 credit on your card after the hold is placed.
The funds will not be captured (charged to your account) unless Riverview Ranch and Resort management feels that you have caused damages to the ranch in some way. Assuming no damages occur, the hold will be automatically released a few days after your stay ends. You can expect the hold to clear your account within 15 days. If we capture all, or a portion, of your deposit you will have the option of disputing the charge through your credit card company. If you have any questions contact Wrangler Roger at 608-331-0000.
