This cabin is in beautiful Glacier, the town closest to the countless adventures awaiting you in the Mt Baker Ski area and Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Enjoy hiking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding and amazing photography - just a few of the great outdoor activities in the area When you come home from your daily adventures, Glacier Getaway provides a comfortable space to relax with WiFi, games and amusement throughout the cabin Enjoy the private hot tub and a drink on the deck while soaking in the sights and sounds of the beautiful, old-growth forest. Or challenge your friends or family to a board game. Or enjoy a quiet conversation in the cozy living room. On the main floor you'll find: * Well-appointed kitchen with a great variety of tools and the basic ingredients you need to cook a great meal (full list of kitchen tools and ingredients will be sent with check-in instructions). * Cozy living room with an electric fireplace and a smart tv with Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is also a classic Nintendo console with dozens of games as well as plenty of board games to find something everyone in your group will enjoy. * A mudroom with washer/dryer and a half bathroom so you can easily get cleaned up after your adventures and prepare for a cozy evening. On the second floor you'll find: * Two bright and spacious bedrooms with comfy queen beds to rest up for your next adventure * A bathroom with plush towels and a spacious shower On the outside you'll find: * A cozy hot tub tucked in to the old growth forest with private and relaxing views of the National Forest * Several comfortable seating areas on the deck to enjoy the surrounding forest with a tasty beverage and snack * Tranquility - the cabin is set back from the neighbors and directly backs up to the National Forest When you want some adventures closer to home, enjoy the quiet, friendly, gated Snowline community. Just a few minute walk to: * tennis and pickle ball courts * basketball hoops * badminton and volleyball net * large field for baseball, kickball, soccer or frisbee * horseshoe pits * kids' fishing pond * large playground Additionally, there is a beautiful hiking trail that loops through National Forest land to the Nooksack River and the trailhead is in the Snowline community - just a few minute walk from the cabin. There is plenty of parking on the property including a flat parking spot level with the road and enough room for several cars on the driveway heading up to the cabin. In the cabin, you'll have access to the entire space (less a single closet for cleaning materials). We offer self check-in - you'll pick up a key to the gated community using a key lockbox at the nearby Chair 9 restaurant, then use a door key-code to access the cabin itself. Prior to check-in all guests must complete a form with some info about your vehicles and trip length. This is required for all rentals in the community, but just takes a few minutes to respond to the email. While we spend as much time as we can in Glacier, we are not always in town. However, we are always available to answer any questions that you have through airbnb messaging, text or phone. You may want a NW Forest Pass to cover parking at many of the local trailheads and attractions. When Mt. Baker Ski Area is open, you may consider The Baker Bus as a way to get to the slopes - reservation required! We list the house as 4 guests as that is what is most comfortable; however, as parents, we understand that sometimes having a few kids doesn't necessarily mean you need a lot more space. If you would like to book with 2 or 3 adults and a few kids, please inquire and we can temporarily alter the listing to allow for up to 6 guests. Please note, we will charge $25 per night per guest beyond 4 guests (regardless of age) in order to cover additional wear and tear as well as additional cleaning efforts. The pool and community center are reserved for community members only and are not accessible to guests. Our cleaners have all committed to following the cleaning guidelines laid out by airbnb based on CDC guidelines. We know that proper sanitation is critical at all times, but especially during these COVID times. We have great respect for our neighbors and hope that all our guests show similar respect for our neighbors and neighborhood. Besides Graham's Store, which has many convenience items and a few grocery items, the closest large grocery store is around 30 miles away and the closest gas station is nearly 15 minutes away, so you'll need to stock up and fill up before you make your way to Glacier.
